The Fun (but Important) Rules of the Game
BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Booking an errand or service is like getting into Melbourne’s hottest brunch spot — you gotta plan ahead. But hey, if you’re feeling spontaneous, we’ve got options!
✔️ Standard Bookings – All bookings must be made online or through agreed communication channels. No carrier pigeons, please.
✔️ Same-Day Errands, Home Services & Lawn Mowing – Need something done ASAP? No problem! Same-day bookings are available, but to keep things running smoother than a freshly mopped floor, send us a quick chat or message after booking so we can confirm and work our magic.
✔️ Confirmation Process – Once we review your booking, we’ll confirm via email or message. Until then, consider it like a paused Netflix episode — waiting patiently for the next click.
Need to Make Changes? – Life happens! If you need to tweak your booking, just let us know. We’re flexible — just don’t ghost us like an unfinished online order sitting in your cart for six months.
For urgent requests, last-minute errands or those “I need this done now” moments, reach out and we’ll try to make it happen!
FAIR VALUE PAYMENT & HYBRID FAIR VALUE PAYMENT
1. Fair Value Payment (FVP)
🔹 You decide what our services are worth after completion. Yep, you heard right! It’s a trust-based system. Just don’t mistake us for magicians who work for exposure.
🔹 Payment is due immediately upon job completion via EFTPOS Tap (ApplePay, GooglePay & Afterpay), PayID or cash. We can also send a secure Payment link upon request.
Clarification of Payment Obligation:
🔹 FVP is not a free service. By booking a service, you agree to pay an amount that reflects the value of the service provided.

2. Hybrid Fair Value Payment
🔹 Budget First, Magic Second – You tell us your price range upfront, and we work our magic within it. No mystery charges, no awkward “How much is this gonna cost?” moments.
🔹 Service That Fits Your Budget – Bigger budget? More deep cleaning, organising wizardry, or website brilliance. Smaller budget? We still give it our all — just with a little less sparkle.
🔹 No Take-Backsies – Once the job is done, the agreed price range is final. No last-minute “Actually, can I pay a little less?”— unless you want us to un-clean your house. (Kidding. Mostly.)
🔹 Fairness Works Both Ways – We always aim to deliver the best service possible within your budget. If something isn’t right, let’s chat — but we promise no half-hearted efforts here.
🔹 Changes & Cancellations – Need to tweak something? Let us know ASAP. Cancellations mean we’ll probably spend the time alphabetising our spice rack instead.
PAYMENT TERMS
🔹Missed Payment Policy
Life happens! If you forget to pay, we’ll send a friendly reminder (not a mobster-style visit). We’re all about gentle nudges, not threats.
🔹 Prepaid Funds (Prepaid Errands)
For tasks requiring purchases, payment must be made in advance via the secure link we provide or via PayID.
🔹 Payment Due – No IOUs Here!
Payment is required immediately after the job is done — before we pack up and do our victory lap.
🔹 How You Can Pay (Because Bartering Goats Isn’t an Option)
We accept:
✅ EFTPOS Tap (Yep, that includes Afterpay!)

✅ Cash (old school, but still cool)
✅ Card Payment & Afterpay (also available via payment link)
🔹 Invoice & Receipt – Because We’re Legit
Once payment is made, we’ll send you an invoice/receipt for your records.

You decide what our service is worth — because we trust you. But let’s be real, we do work hard!
⚠ By booking, you agree to pay a fair and reasonable amount based on the value of the service provided.
✳If you’re having issues with payment, reach out — we’re humans, and we’re happy to help.
🟥 Non-Payment & Awkward Conversations
If payment isn’t made on the spot, things get awkward. Future bookings may be declined and additional charges may apply.
⚠ Got an issue? Let’s chat! Reach out within 24 hours, and we’ll work on a fix.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
▶ Life happens, and so do last-minute changes. You can cancel or reschedule up to 2 hours before the scheduled time.
▶ Cancelling within 2 hours? That’s a bit like leaving us waiting at the airport — but we’ll let it slide the first time.
RUNNING LATE OR OVER TIME
▶ If we’re late or running over the estimated time due to unforeseen chaos (traffic, dragons, etc.), we’ll let you know immediately.
▶ If the task runs longer because your list grows mid-errand, we kindly ask you to reflect this in your FVP decision.
SAFETY FIRST (BUT FUN SECOND)
▶ We’re game for almost anything, but we draw the line at dangerous tasks, illegal requests, or babysitting your pet cobra.
▶ We reserve the right to decline tasks that fall outside our comfort zone or make our runners question their life choices.
DAMAGE & LIABILITY
▶ We handle your items with care (like carrying a cake across a room full of toddlers), but accidents happen.
▶ In the rare event of damage, we’ll do our best to make it right or cover the cost under our liability policy. Just don’t ask us to replace an heirloom Fabergé egg without warning us first.
CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY
▶ Your details are safe with us. We won’t share them with anyone unless it’s to fulfill your errand (or if the law tells us to).
▶ Need us to pick up something discreet? Don’t worry — what happens during errands stays between us.
THE FINE PRINT (Because Every Contract Has One)
▶ By booking with us, you agree to the above terms. We promise to keep things professional, fun, and hassle-free.
▶ For any disputes, we’ll do our best to resolve them amicably before involving legal professionals who charge by the minute.
FAIR VALUE PAYMENT (FVP) CORRECTION POLICY (Because life happens, but so do fair payments.)
At the ERRAND HELPERS, we believe in trust, fairness and not making you feel like you’re arguing with a robot over a receipt. Our Fair Value Payment (FVP) model lets you decide what our services are worth and in return, we deliver high-quality, tailored results.
But on the rare occasion that a correction is needed, here’s how we handle it:
🟩 When Corrections May Be Considered:
We’ll gladly fix the situation if:
✅ The Accidental Generosity Incident - You meant to pay 100, but a rogue zero turned it into 1,000. No problem, we’ll sort it out.
✅ The Phantom Double Payment – Clicked twice? System glitch? If you paid twice for the same thing, we’ll correct it faster than you can say “oops.”
🔴When Corrections Are Not a Thing:
We won’t be making changes if:
❌ The “I Changed My Mind” Dilemma – If you voluntarily paid and later decided you’d rather have spent that money on takeaway, we can’t help you there.
❌ The “Actually, I Think It’s Worth Less” Moment – If the work was delivered as agreed and the realisation hits later that you should have paid less, we trust that you set a fair price the first time.
❌ The “It’s Not You, It’s Me” Situation – If there’s no actual mistake or error, just second thoughts, then we consider the payment final.
⚠ How to Request a Correction (If You Really Need One)
If you believe there’s a legit mistake, let us know within seven days of payment with:
• The date of service
• The amount paid
• A brief explanation of what happened
✅ We’ll review it and get back to you within five business days.
